TRALEE Bay Swimming Club held the Donald Walsh Memorial Cup last Thursday evening where 67 swimmers participated in the 760m swim from the bathing slip to the pier in Fenit.
Photographer Domnick Walsh sponsored the cup and the prizes to commemorate his brother Donald who died tragically in an accident. Antoinette Boyd was first to cross the line and received the Donald Walsh Cup with John Edwards in second and Niall O Loinsigh third.
The fun continued into the night as the club held their annual Midsummer barbecue. "It was a fabulous night and everyone was in great spirits. It's the highlight of the year for us," said PRO for the club Billy Ryle.
