KERRY Airport and Sunway Tours have announced a deal which will see weekly flights from Kerry to Majorca through the summer.
Irish owned Tour Operator, Sunway Holidays this week revealed it is to commence a new charter holiday flight series from Kerry to Palma Majorca commencing on Thursday June 27.
Majorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands and lies in the Mediterranean sea off the south east coast of mainland Spain.
Welcoming the news Denis Cregan, Chairman of Kerry Airport said the deal represented great opportunity for Kerry holiday maker and would be a boon for the airport.
"Great holidays start at Kerry Airport. We are delighted to see the return of holiday-packages direct from Kerry to Majorca and particularly look forward to working with our new partners Sunway Holidays. Majorca has been very popular in the past among the Kerry holiday makers and together with our competitive car-park rates, our efficient handling of aircraft and baggage and our friendly staff we look forward to offering holiday-makers the ideal send-off to the sun in 2013," he said.
Daytime flights will operate on a weekly basis every Thursday until the August 22 2013, departing Kerry at 4.30pm and arriving at Palma at 8.10pm. Returns flights leave Majorca at 1.45pm and arrive into Kerry at 3.40pm.
Sunway is offering 7 nights in Santa Ponsa from €499 and a family holiday for 2 adults and 2 children under 12 starts from €1869. Both holidays are on a self catering basis including flights, free 20kg baggage allowance and all taxes.
