TEACHERS at St Teresa's National School in Kilflynn will swap the classroom for the catwalk on Friday next, November 23, when they take to the stage for a fundraising fashion show for the school.
They will be joined by some of their sixth class pupils - Darragh O'Donoghue, Eamonn Rohan, Sinead Coleman and Keith Lynch - and even local Crotta hurlers will be strutting their stuff at The Meadowlands Hotel, as will local publican Mike Parker. It's all with the aim of raising funds to develop an astro turf pitch at the school, which celebrated its centenary last May.
Produced by Upfront Model Management, the show kicks off with a pre-drinks reception at 7.30pm, followed by a great night of autumn/winter fashions from local boutiques, milliners and designers, from across the county. Make up and hair on the night is sponsored by Gemma Knightly Private Hair & Beauty College, Tralee.
Organisers will also be on the lookout for a winner of the best dressed lady competition, sponsored by Jasmine Boutique, and there will be plenty spot prizes up for grabs throughout the evening,
"Everyone who wants a fashionable and fun night out is welcome, it's going to be a very enjoyable night out for a great cause," said school principal, Mary Carroll.
Tickets are €20 each or €30 for two and are available by texting St Teresa's National School on 087 1846918 or by email on firstname.lastname@example.org or by contacting the Meadowlands Hotel Tralee.
