KERRY Group say its negotiations with suppliers on the price it will pay for milk prices over the 12 years are at an advanced stage.
The company has been in negotiations with suppliers since 2011 after it issued a statement pledging to pay the leading milk price on a like for like basis.
There are 3,500 Kerry Group milk suppliers in Kerry, Clare, Limerick, and North Cork.
Kerry Group said it has been in contact with those suppliers during discussions on this long term contract which, when agreed between all parties, will run until at least 2025.
A spokesperson for Kerry Group says the company is fully committed to concluding the discussions on pricing as soon as possible however there is no timeframe for the completion of the negotiations.
