Man four times over legal drinking limit

A TRAWLERMAN who was on a night out with his girlfriend after coming back from a fishing trip in Killybegs was found to be four times over the legal drink driving limit after he was stopped by gardaí at Farran Redmond on his way home.
Dingle resident Darren O'Sullivan, who is originally from St Joseph's Villas, Castletownbere, pleaded guilty to drink driving at Dingle District Court on Friday, where it emerged a urine sample provided returned a reading of 277mg of alcohol per 100ml or urine.
The court heard that the man had been out celebrating 'his first night out in a while' on October 4, 2012.
Mr O'Sullivan was disqualified from driving for three years, to take effect from September 1, and was dined €175.
