A LISTOWEL man who left two bags of rubbish in a neighbouring vacant council house was caught out by letters bearing his address.
Kerry County Council's litter warden search the abandoned rubbish at 21 Ashgrove Listowel and found envelopes with Christopher McElligott Costello's name and address - 20 Ashgrove - written on them.
At Listowel District Court the warden gave evidence of finding two bags of household rubbish in the yard of number 21 on June 14 last while on routine patrol in the estate. He produced two envelopes with Mr McElligott Costello's name and address, which he said were found in the rubbish.
He said that he issued a fine to the defendant which remained unpaid. Judge Mary Larkin fined the defendant €70.
