KNOCKNAGOSHEL Community Centre was a hive of activity on Saturday as shoppers hoping to grab a last minute bargain flocked to the annual Christmas Craft Fair.

Organised by the Knocknagoshel Women's Group and Over 55s Social Club, the event once again showcased the wonderfully talented craftspeople from the village and further afield who spoiled shoppers with a choice of ceramics, woodwork, jewellery, hand crafted clothes, cards, knitwear, and much much more

A host of local food producers were also present on the day, offering a superb range of treats in the run up to the festive period, from bakery goods and jams to biscuits, cakes and puddings.

According to organisers, the successful event not only offered shoppers a fantastic opportunity to pick up some valuable presents for family and friends, but also worked as a fundraiser for the Women's Group and the Over 55s Social Club.

The group runs a weekly social club, catering for over 30 local elderly and incapacitated people and operates a wheelchair accessible, minibus, provides a meals-on-wheels service and runs an annual Christmas party for the elderly.
