Kerry Stars in training for the Special Olympics

IT will be a case of Emma makes nine later this month as a group of south Kerry athletes get into full training ahead of the upcoming Special Olympics Ireland Games.
A total of nine members of the Kerry Stars Special Olympics Club, will be travelling to Limerick for the big games which run from Thursday, June 12 until Monday, June 15. But only eight will be representing the Kerry Stars at the 2014 games, with the ninth, Emma Doolan, joining her North Kerry rivals especially for this event.
Emma from Killarney will be representing her county as part of the North Kerry Eagles in artistic gymnastics, but also competes as part of Kerry Stars in athletics.
The South Kerry team includes: Antoinette O'Leary from Gneeveguilla in swimming; Conor Griffin, Glenbeigh, in swimming; Vincent Lacke, Killarney a member of the Munster Soccer Team; Timmy Dan O'Sullivan, Kilcummin, 200metre run and short putt; Michael O'Donoghue, Gneeveguilla, 200metre run and short putt; Jane Curran, Killarney, 1,500metre walk and turbo javelin; Annmarie Ladden, Castlemaine 150metre run and turbo javelin and John Paul Doyle from Glenbeigh in the pentathlon.
