ATHEA singer songwriter Jenny Liston will perform songs from her debut album, I'm Your Bird, when she takes to the stage at St John's in Listowel on Tuesday next, December 4.
The Social Science graduate is currently living and working in Galway, but is relishing a return to Listowel, where her mum Kay is well known for her worth with the local youth centre.
Although Jenny has been gigging in Galway for a number of years, it's only since the launch of her album earlier this month that she has embarked on a tour. The 25-year-old's original songs feature tales about life's ups and downs, love, friends and family - influenced by early rock 'n' roll and folk, with a bit of Rockabilly thrown in for good measure.
While Jenny is well used to gigging in the pubs and clubs of Galway, the avid music fan says she is looking forward to performing in the intimate surrounds of St John's.
Jenny will be joined in Listowel by Micheal O'Connor on guitar, Jody Cram on drums and bass and Andrew Madel, also on bass. Tickets for the show can be bought at St John's on Tuesday night.
