THE DINGLE Peninsula was represented at the largest holiday fair in Europe recently as Ballyferriter resident John Slye, Director of South West Ireland Golf, travelled to Germany as part of the Fáilte Ireland contingent.
The annual CMT Holiday Fair was hosted in Stuttgart this year from January 11 to 14 and focused on showcasing international folklore, culinary excellence and culture.
Over 2,000 stands were displayed, representing over 100 countries and over 250,000 people visited the event over its four day duration.
Among those accompanying John at the event were Neil Buckley of The Heights Hotel in Killarney, Zoe Redmond of Tourism Ireland and Sabine Rosenhammer of Killarney-based Bespoke Tours.
Despite there being over 2,000 stands on display at the CMT Holiday Fair, Fáilte Ireland's stand stood out so to speak as it won the award for best stand at the entire show.
