A FREE information evening to help parents and teachers support children with dyslexia will take place on Wednesday, November 7, at Newcastle West Family and Community Hub.
Open to parents, guardians, teachers and special needs assistants, the event includes a talk by educational psychologist Michael de Villiers on understanding dyslexia and strategies to support the child. He will also offer a toolkit of resources and behaviour management techniques to help deal with children with the common learning disability.
The meeting will take place from 7.30pm to 8.30pm at the community hub, upstairs in the Newcastle West Community Centre.
