FIVE Kerry properties, including a four-star spa hotel in Cahersiveen and four separate plots of land in south and north Kerry, have been included in the list of properties to be sold off at the next Allsop Space auction.
Allsop Space, the auction house that specialises in the sale of distressed properties, has included five Kerry properties, which have a combined reserve price of around €1 million, for sale at its next auction, due to take place at Dublin's Shelbourne Hotel on May 15.
The largest Kerry lot included is the Watermarque Hotel and apartment complex in Cahersiveen which sits on a 1.8 acre site in the heart of the south Kerry town and has a reserve price of between €725,000 and €775,000. Further details of this lot and its history can be found in the news section.
The Allsop list also includes four sites in Fossa, Listowel and on the Kerry/ Limerick border near Abbeyfeale. The sites at Fossa and Listowel are being sold on the instructions of receivers Grant Thornton.
The largest of the four sites on the latest Allsop list is a 15-acre site located at Crohane, close to Fossa and about eight kilometres from Killarney. This freehold property has a reserve price of €110,000. A second smaller site in the Fossa area, a four-acre site Beeniskey is also featured on the list with a reserve price of €20,000.
Also on sale, with a reserve price of €20,000, is a nine-acre site located at Deera West located on a cul-de-sac about three kilometres north of Listowel on the main Ballybunion Road.
The final property in the Kerry area included for sale in next month's auction is a site of roughly nine acres at Shanbally on the Kerry/ Limerick border, close to Abbeyfeale. This site, which has planning permission from Kerry County Council for eight detached houses, is on sale with a reserve price of €70,000.
