BUSINESSES around town received a big thank you from the Listowel branch of the Kerry Hospice after the success of a recent coffee morning.
Over €800 was raised at the coffee morning in Christy Walsh's Well Bar marking a nationwide coffee morning fundraiser for the Irish Hospice.
Speaking this week, Listowel Hospice PRO Julie Gleeson said the organisation were extremely grateful for the support of local business. "We would like to thank Christy Walsh for the use of his premises, Pierse Walsh, Jer D Collins, Charlie Cantillon, Supervalu, Kearney's Bakery and the Listowel Races Supporters' Club who all gave buns, cakes, tarts and other refreshments for the morning," Julie said.
They also thanked everyone who gave spotprizes and came along to support the event. Meanwhile, anyone interested in hosting a coffee morning for the Hospice is urged to contact Kay on (087) 6975682 or Jenny on (086) 3934134 or any committee member.
