WITH Christmas fast approaching the Kerry Hospice Foundation have this week launched their annual range of Christmas cards.
The cards, which will be on sale in outlets all over the county, feature a range of festive images that were specially created by some of Kerry's best known local artists including Jane Hilliard and Mary Claire Stacey.
The cards will be on sale in packs of ten for just €7 and, most importantly, as the cost of producing the cards was covered by Kerry Group, every cent spent on the cards will go directly to the Kerry Hospice Foundation and the Palliative Care Unit at Kerry General Hospital.
The Christmas cards are an invaluable source of funding for the charity, last year alone they brought in over €37,000.
"They're very nice cards containing a mix of festive images that were done for us by a number of Kerry artists," said Kerry Hospice Foundation Chairman Ted Moynihan. "Because Kerry Group are kind enough to sponsor the cards, and cover the production costs, it means that every card we sell represents a profit for us.
"Every single cent that's raised from the cards will go to the Kerry Hospice Foundation and the Palliative Care Unit," Ted added.
