HAVING A BALL!
STUDENTS from IT Tralee enjoyed a renaissance style makeover as the college hosted its annual masked ball.
The event, which took place at The Ballyroe Hotel last Thursday was the social highlight of the college calendar and this year's ball attracted over 500 guests who lined out in their finery for a night of fine food and dancing.
The idea for the Masquerade Ball took root in 2012 when the organisers of the annual college ball grew tired of the traditional affair and decided to give the college's biggest annual social night a bit of a twist.
The idea of the Masquerade Ball proved so popular that the organisers decided to repeat it and the event is now a firmly established and hugely popular part of the college's social calendar.
Tickets for the ball were a hot commodity on campus in the run up to the event with full tickets for the ball sold out well in advance and €15 afters tickets snapped up in a matter of hours when they were released to a very eager student body on Wednesday afternoon.
Organised by the Students Union, the ball is held to say thank you to its members for their support and help over the previous college term.
