FASHIONISTAS from Kerry and beyond can look forward to another impressive weekend of show stopping style very soon, with confirmation that the fifth annual Kerry Fashion Weekend is all set for early March.
Among the events line up for this year's weekend - which runs from March 7 to 9 - will include a vintage salon show, which will be styled and produced by well known vintage enthusiasts Erika Fox
and Alison Nulty, along with the Business of Fashion seminar at the Carlton Hotel on March 8, where renowned Ballyheigue designer to the stars, Don O'Neill, will be the honorary guest speaker.
highlight of the weekend will undoubtedly be the hugely anticipated KFW Fashion Designer Awards dinner and new collections night in association with Image Magazine on March 9. Nominations are now open for those hoping to enter the following award categories:
Kerry Fashion Designer of the Year 2013 (open to any Kerry-based or Kerry born fashion designer - all disciplines) and KFW Kerry Fashion Business person of the Year Award 2013 (Open to those operating boutiques and those in the fashion support / related businesses in Kerry (including hair, make up, styling and photography) .
Other national categories include KFW Irish Accessory Designer of the Year 2013 (open to millinery, jewellery, leather-goods, footwear designers) and the KFW One to Watch 2013, which is open to everyone in, all disciplines, who are operating a business for less than three years.
Entry forms and criteria are available to download from www.kerryfashionweekend.com and the deadline for entries is Friday, February 1, 2013.
Judges will also announce their chosen KFW Irish Fashion Designer of the Year and KFW Special Merit Award winner on the night.
