Duo charged after Farranfore pharmacy raid

TWO men were due to appear in court in Tralee on Wednesday charged in connection with the robbery of pharmacy in Farranfore last Thursday night.
Emmet O'Regan, with an address at 24 Manor Place, Manor Village in Tralee, and Sean Murphy, currently of no fixed abode but formerly with an address at the Arlington Lodge Hostel in Tralee, appeared before a special sitting of Killarney District Court on Friday where they were charged and remanded in custody arising from a number of alleged incidents on the night of Thursday, January 10.
Mr O'Regan and Mr Murphy were both charged with theft from Ahern's Pharmacy in Farranfore having entered the premises as trespassers on January 10, 2013.
Sean Murphy is also charged with taking a car without its owner's consent from the Castlemorris Orchard estate in Tralee on a date unknown between January 9 and 10, 2013. He was further charged with two counts of dangerous driving at Curraghleaha, Tralee and Ballyseedy, Tralee, on January 10, 2013.
In addition to the theft charge Emmet O'Regan was also charged with allowing himself to be transported in a car that he knew to be stolen on January 10 2013.
Following a brief hearing on Friday both men were remanded in custody to appear again before Judge James O'Connor at Tralee District Court on Wednesday, January 16.
