THEY were belting seven shades out of each other last week and now they're all on the run - as the brilliant charity organisation that is the Kerry Crusaders gets ready for another major event!

Yes, it's that wonderful time of the year again (almost)! And the Crusaders are marking it with their annual 5km Jingle Bell Run on Sunday, December 2, next starting at 12noon.

It comes hot on the heels of the massive event which was the Rumble in Listowel II, drawing over 800 people to the Listowel Community Centre last week in a fantastic success for the group.

A massive hit last year, it saw scores of people dressed in Santa costumes and other Christmas-y outfits lugging it around the Park and other parts of town ar nós na gaoithe.

You don't have to be a brilliant marathon runner to take part as the Crusaders remind all. Simply 'walk, jog, run, stroll or crawl ' but above all enjoy yourself and bear in mind the good cause you will be supporting: charities in the region that work with children with special needs.

"It's going to be a fantastic, fun day and we hope to see a great crowd joining us for the Jingle Bell Run," PRO Una B Buckley said. "It's for a great cause and to cap it all we will have prizes for the first man and woman home and for the bestdressed Santa!"

Registration is from 10.30am on the morning in Christy's Bar.
