A PART-TIME supermarket worker has appeared in court charged with possession of €26,000 worth of cocaine for the purpose of sale and supply.
Don Quinn of 64 Connolly Park, Tralee was allegedly found with the drugs at The Traintracks, Gallowsfield and 7 St John's Park, Tralee, on September 28 last. At Tralee District Court on Thursday, gardaí said that the seizures were valued at €8,500 and €17,500.
Inspector Donal Ashe said the State would not object to bail if Mr Quinn surrenders his passport and lives at his residence at all times. He was also ordered to sign on at Tralee gardaí station three times a week.
Solicitor Nuala Liston said her client, who was a part time employee at Tesco Abbeyfeale, ' has no background in this type of activity.'
Judge John O'Neil adjourned the case until October 10.
