ONE of the most highly anticipated social outings of the Kilflynn Christmas calendar is all set for a return this year, when Parker's and Herbert's Bars once again jointly host the Kilflynn Cancer Support Group Table Quiz on Friday December 27.
Now in its 10th year, the fundraiser was the brainchild of cancer survivor and former Kilflynn PP, Fr Pat O'Donnell, who wanted to do his bit to help raise funds for cancer services in Kerry.
To date, the small community has raised an incredible €54,000 through the event, with proceeds being divided between Recovery Haven, Kerry Hospice and Kerry Cancer Support.
Brian has procured two Late Late Show audience tickets as first prize in a special draw which will take place on the night ( tickets for which are currently being sold in the local businesses). Brian also presented the group with an Irish rugby jersey signed by all the Irish stars which will be auctioned on the night.
A signed copy of Ryan Tubridy's new book 'The Irish are coming' is also up for grabs.
Meanwhile, anyone with unwanted Christmas presents that could be auctioned on the night are invited to drop them to Parker's Pub, Herbert's Bar and shop.
