BULMERS have garnered some great publicity over the past few months with their humorous 'Cider App' adverts on the television. Dingle however benefitted last week from the Irish cider company's 'deCider App Giveaway' as local Daniel Hickey was named the third lucky winner in the nationwide competition.

The marketing campaign, which has been running over Christmas and continues into the New Year, offers entrants the opportunity to win €2,000 for themselves and €2,000 for their favourite local charity or community project using the Bulmers deCider App (part of the company's ' Doing Our Bit' series of community initiatives).

Daniel, who won the prize at Paul Geaney's Pub on Main Street, Dingle, nominated Gairdín Mhuire Day Care Centre for the elderly on Green Street to share in the €4,000 fund and the cheque was handed over last Monday.
