THREE brothers of Dublin native Niamh Coughlan (Kelly), who tragically lost her battle with cancer last August, are embarking on a round-Ireland cycle that will culminate in Niamh's much-loved Kerry town of Killorglin.
The cycle will follow a personal route along which Niamh enjoyed many happy holidays with family and friends.
Starting in Dublin, where Niamh was a much loved teacher in St Bridget's, Castleknock, they journey to Louisburg, Co Mayo, then south to Limerick and on to complete the Ring of Kerry. They are due to finish in Killorglin on Saturday, August 3, at about 2pm.
As a child Niamh celebrated many happy birthdays on holidays in Killorglin. Great childhood memories such as Bird's Bazaar, the fancy dress parade and, of course, Rossbeigh beach have been fondly recalled by family members planning the route. Her last visit was in the summer of 2012 with her husband Garvan along with daughters Ava and Grace.
She is sadly missed by all, including her uncle Noel O'Mahony, aunts Bernadette O'Mahony and Pat O'Donoghue in Killorglin, as well as Maureen Fitzgibbon in Tralee and aunt Ayleen O'Malley in Mayo.
