Bikers spread Christmas cheer

Members of Tralee’s Legion of Doom Motorcycle Club visiting the Cashel Ward at Kerry General - spreading anything but gloom on this occasion.

A GROUP of Tralee bikers have brought some Christmas cheer to the sick children who will be spending the holidays in the children's ward at Kerry General Hospital.

Last week the members of Tralee's Legion of Doom Motorcycle Club visited the Cashel Ward at Kerry General where they handed over a bumper sack of toys and presents to staff for children on the ward to enjoy over Christmas and on into the future.

The club members had collected the toys at a gift collection night they held on December 7 at the club's spiritual home, The Slieve Mish Bar in Boherbee.

Doubtless the children will enjoy the huge array of presents the generous club members collected. The gifts included an array of big and small toys for boys and girls, board games and lots of books and annuals.

The club and its members are well known for their charity and community spirit, and the Christmas toy collection is the second large charity event they have held this year.

During the summer the club hosted its first charity motor cycle run which raised some badly needed funds for the Recovery Haven Cancer Support House in Tralee.
