Ber O'sullivan collects a cheque for the € 45,800 she won on last Saturday's Winning Streak TV game show held in RTE from Declan Harrington, Head of Finance at the National Lottery.

ABBEYDORNEY woman, Ber O'Sullivan is planning a holiday in New York on the strength of her €45,800 win on RTE'S Winning Streak show on Saturday.

Ber told game show host Geri Maye that although she had been to New York twice, her dream is to return again with husband Christy, but it would depend on how much she won. No doubt, her windfall at the weekend will see her heading to the travel agents shortly.

Ber struck it lucky in the very first round of Saturday night's show when she secured the maximum €35,000. She then went on to add a further €10,800 to her winnings.

Accompanied by a busload of family and friends from Abbeydorney, Ber said she was ecstatic to be on the show and couldn't believe her luck when she saw her name being drawn the previous week.

Her new found fortune is very much down to hubby Christy, who buys Ber two Scratch Cards every Saturday. The lucky one was bought in Spar in Monavalley, Tralee.

As well as the trip to New York, Ber is also hoping to clear some of her debts and maybe change the family car.
