Ballyseedy Garden Centre to feature on RTE show

TRALEE-based business the Ballyseedy Garden Centre is set to feature in a new RTE show profiling businesses as they come to terms with the effects of Ireland's economic crash.

Ballyseedy Garden Centre owners Bernie Falvey and her son Nathan, who also own a garden centre at Cork's Fota Island, will next month feature in an episode of RTE's new show Taking Care of Business.

The new series sees financial trouble shooters Sean Dunne and Tommy Murphy come to the aid of Irish businesses who amassed significant debts during the Celtic Tiger years.

Dunne and Murphy spent several months working with the Falveys to help them form a business plan to better deal with debts of €4 million that the family business amassed as they developed their garden centre shortly before the economic crash.

Taking Care of Business' first episode airs this Thursday and will run for six weeks.

The Falvey's and Ballyseedy Garden Centre are due to feature in the show's fifth episode.
