Following on from a very successful meeting on Thursday last, it was decided that - after a year's absence - the annual parade will be held again this year.

To ensure this year's parade is a success, the organising committee is asking residents and local businesses to get involved - either by way of financial support or helping to manage the event on the day. They are also calling on local schools, community groups, and sports clubs to take part in the event. As an incentive, a special cash prize will be presented to the float or group judges deemed the most imaginative.

Anyone interest in helping out in any way, or taking part in the parade is asked to contact Helen (087 9663704), Mary (086 3858180) or Marisa (086 6030926).

The next meeting to discuss the parade takes place in the village hall next Thursday, January 31, at 9pm and anyone interested in helping out is invited to attend.
