TRALEE received a further jobs boost in the last week with the news that discount retail chain Dealz are to create 30 new jobs when they open a new store in Tralee.

The retail chain has confirmed it is to open a store at the newly completed 650 metre retail until overlooking the Abbey Car Park at Tralee's Abbeycourt retail area.

Dealz new outlet will occupy two thirds of the building and is due to open in August. The discount supermarket retail chain, which also has a store in Killarney, had been long rumoured as a potential tenant for the town's newest landmark building.

Recruitment is underway with Dealz currently seeking managers and sales staff to run the new outlet.

The owners of the building are understood to be in negotiations with a number of potential tenants who have expressed an interest in opening outlets in the remaining third of the building.
