A FARMHOUSE dating back to the 1850s with 100 acres of land outside Killorglin is to be put up for auction on July 26.
Lismacfinnan House is a charming two-storey four bedroom farmhouse, located two miles from Killorglin town centre with views of the McGillicuddy Reeks and the land surrounding it offers huge potential for agriculture development.
According to selling agent Michael O'Connor, the land is good but "needs a bit of attention" and also included on the property are an old cattle shed, a stone out-house and a barn.
Offers in the region of €900,000 have already been rejected for the property. There is no reserve price as of yet but with average land prices now being €9,476 per acre, according to a survey published earlier this year, one would expect that this property will fetch seven figures.
