ALMOST €3,500 was presented to St Joseph's Care Home on Saturday, the proceeds of a special threshing demonstration held in the Red Fox Inn near Glenbeigh earlier this year.
Sister Helena and Sister Elizabeth were on hand to accept the very welcome cheque which eventually totalled €3,470 and which was presented outside The Red Fox Inn.
It followed a special threshing day held on March 1 and the cheque was presented on Saturday after donations continued to come in several weeks after the event.
"We want to thank everyone involved on the day, particularly Brendan Ferris from Beaufort who donated the machinery and the sheaves of corn," Red Fox owner John Mulvihill said.
Also on board on the day was Dan Tim O'Sullivan and several members of the local fundraising committee.
"Thanks to all the neighbours and friends and to everyone who has such appreciation of the work being carried out at St Joseph's which has staff and facilities that are second to none," John added.
