Shock greets death of Sister Kate

NEWS of the passing of Sister Kate Creedon late of Shannon View, Ballymackessy, Congregational Leader of the Daughters of Mary and Joseph following a brief illness in Kampala, Uganda was received in Ballylongford with much sadness and shock on Wednesday, December, 4 last.

Catherine, as she was affectionately known, was born and reared in Ballylongford before leaving the area to take up her calling to join the nuns.

To her loving community and family; sisters Mary Black (Mulhuddart), Helen Creedon (Southampton) and Sheila O'Neill (Newbridge); brothers Patrick (Blarney) and Michael (Summerhill), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, grandniece and a large circle of friends we offer our deepest sympathies. Sister Kate's remains will repose at the DMJ House, Sycamore Road, Connell Drive, Newbridge on today (Wednesday December 11).

Removal to St. Conleth's Parish Church Newbrdge for Mass of the Resurrection takes place on Thursday at 11am with burial afterwards in St. Kieran's Cemetery, Kilkenny.
