Set dancing céilís a hit for charity

Michaela Avlund, Ann Reynolds, Catherine Wynne, Martin and Maura Cregg, Ben Mahon the committee who organised the Charity Set Dancing Ceílí's in St Patrick's GAA Hall in Wicklow

The series of Set Dancing Céilís organised by Wicklow Town CCE, raised over €700 for local charities.

On Friday, The Davy Family Ceili Band, alongside Bean an Tí, Angela Bernard, all performed in the St. Patrick's GAA Gall.

The proceeds form the various ceilis will go to Wicklow Cancer Support, St. Jude's School in Tanzania in association with the Dominican Convent, the Wicklow Alzheimer's Society, St. Luke's Hospital Cancer Research and Wicklow Multiple Sclerosis.

The committee wish to thank St Patrick's GAA for the use of their premises, everyone who supported the ceili's, sponsors of raffle prizes, dancers, musicians and the ladies who provided the refreshments.

The money raised will be presented to the different charities on Friday June 21 during the 'Love Live Music Day' Session in The Boathouse starting at 8 p.m..
