FOOTBALL BOOTS APPEAL
John Flaherty of Kilmurry, Cordal is heading off to Cape Town in South Africa on November 10th with the Niall Mellon Foundation Volunteers on another Building Blitz in that location. John is appealing for old football boots sizes 3 to 8 to take out to poor children in The Cape Town district. Anyone with old football boots who would like to get rid of same can contact John on (087) 1301502.
The next meeting of Castleisland Bereavement Group will be on this Thursday October 25th in the NEKD Building near An Riocht at the Craggeen, Castleisland from 7pm - 9pm. Denis Robinson is the facilitator and everyone is welcome.
Congratulations to Esther O Connor, daughter of Margaret and the late Dan J. O Connor of Knockeenahone and Sean Somers, son of Mary and Michael Somers of Currow who were married on Saturday last in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Scartaglen with Dr. Dan O Riordan being the celebrant of the nuptial mass.
The death took place last week of James O Meara of Knockeenahone and formerly of Killarney. The late James is survived by his wife Mary, by his daughters and by his sisters and brother. Burial took place in Scartaglen Cemetery on Sunday morning last. May he Rest In Peace.
