SCARTAGLENS GOT TALENT: Scartaglin GAA are launching a big fundraising Talent Contest called 'Scartaglin's Got Talent' and are calling on all musicians, singers, dancers, novelty acts in the area to compete for a €500 first prize. The competition will be staged in the Sliabh Luachra Heritage Centre on Saturday nights commencing on November 3rd and continuing on November 10th and 17th with the grand final pencilled in for Sunday November 25th. CHRISTMAS BASKETBALL BLITZ
Basketball players and coaches in The Scartaglin area are advised that anybody wishing to play or enter a team in this years St. Mary's Basketball Club Christmas Blitz 2012 should contact tournament director, Donal O'Connor at 7142618, Secretary Sile Kenny at 7141994 or Gerard Murphy at 1741326. The Blitz now in its 43rd year will be held from 26th to 30th December. Closing date for entries is 3rd November.
FARMERS INTERNET TRAINING

Scartaglen Ladies Football Club wish to thank most sincerely Brownes Home Agri and Builders Providers and their representative John Daly for their very generous donation of a set of polo shirts to Scartaglen Junior Ladies team. It is proposed to erect a new community centre in Scartaglen adjacent to Scartaglen GAA Clubhouse. A newly elected Community Centre Committee was formed recently which is made up as follows: Chairman - Tim Dineen, Secretary - Richard McEnery, Asst.
