Fr Padraig said it was a great honour to say mass for the area and he spoke of the need for people to get to know their neighbour and in this regard he made those who attended the Mass introduce themselves to each other.

The local residents made sure the area was in pristine condition and also took part in the readings and prayers of the faithful.

When the Mass was over, light refreshments were provided and it was time for conversation and more introductions.

The event was a tremendous success and great credit was given by residents to Pauline Comerford who cajoled and organised everyone to lend a hand in the preparation for the mass.

The residents gave special words of thanks to Fr. Padraig for the service.
