FOLLOWING ON from last year's successful O'Flaherty Trail Coach Tour, another has been organised for Saturday, November 2.
Commencing at 9am in Killarney, the tour will visit a number of sites with strong connection to the Monsignor, who is attributed with saving some 6,500 people during World War II.
The tour will include a visit to the O'Flaherty Memorial on Beech Road and the unveiling of a plaque at the Mural on Hugh O'Flaherty Road, at the top of High Street, Killarney.
From there the tour will continue on to Cahersiveen, where it will visit the O'Connell Memorial Church and the grave of the Monsignor in the nearby churchyard.
Following a refreshment stop in Cahersiveen, it is also hoped that there will then be an official unveiling of a commemorative plaque on the wall of Sheehan's shop, where the Monsignor spent the last three years of his life and where he died.
The tour will then return to Killarney.
Tickets for the O'Flaherty Trail Coach Tour cost €25, for bookings contact (064) 6637928.
