DÚN Chaoin musician and singer Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh will hold court with The Dubliners and Imelda May this Christmas Day as she presents Geantraí na Nollag on TG4.
On the special Christmas broadcast, Muireann - who launched her new album 'Ar Uair Bhig An Lae' last Saturday in Dingle – waxes lyrical with The Dubliners who have decided to take a break from touring at the end of this, their 50th year.
On the show, Dublin songstress Imelda May pays tribute to the late, great banjo player and raconteur Barney McKenna, by singing 'I wish I had someone to love me' with The Dubliners.
Along with the Dubliners, the hour'long programme also features singer Karan Casey, The Alan Kelly Gang, Tony MacMahon, Steve Cooney, Caitlín Nic Gabhann, Kieran Hanrahan, Niall Vallely and Caoimhín Ó Fearghail, the TG4 Young Musician of the Year.
Geantraí na Nollag will be screened on TG4 on Christmas Day at 9.15pm.
