POPULAR Kenmare businessman Donald Lynch played the odds perfectly on Saturday night and collected a cool €52,600 in the process.
The local chamber representative was a lucky guest on RTÉ's Winning Streak and collected a trip to hip culture capital Prague in the process.
Donald played the primetime game show on behalf of his mother Joan Purcell after the winning ticket was purchased in Danna's, on Main Street, Ballybunion. "I was delighted to represent my mother and did my best even though it's just random luck really," Donald told The Kerryman.
"The presenters and the whole experience was fantastic, presenters Marty Whelan and Sinead Kennedy were very professional and everyone locally gave me full their support leading up to the big day," he added.
