Irish Rail, via the Mooney Show on Radio 1, have given 100 groups around the country a free return train journey for a group of up to 50 people. 700 groups applied for this chance and we were successful so a lot of prayers must have been said! This Irish Rail promotion is called 'The Journey's on us'. Beimid go léir ag súil leis an turas agus míle buíochas do Irish Rail don seans seo. We will inform you all closer to the time when details are to hand and we will accommodate as many of our young members as possible in return for all their dedication.
TRALEE CYCLING CLUB
2013 is the 60th anniversary of the founding of Tralee C.C. and to mark the occasion we are organising a special event, which we will promote in partnership with Tralee Chamber Alliance. We are launching a 3Day Tour of Kerry, called 'The Kingdom Alliance Sportive' (to be held in June of 2013), before our annual 100Km Slí Trá Lí Leisure Tour on the 9th September next. Minister Jimmy Deenihan will hopefully be there to help with this launch.
The sign-on for Slí Trá Lí will be from 9a.m. until 10 at Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre on the morning of the 9th. The tour will take riders from Tralee to the Maharees, for the first stop, and on to Brandon Point for the second rest stop, before returning to base at the Wetlands.
