TRALEE CYCLING CLUB
2013 is the 60th anniversary of the founding of Tralee C.C. and to mark the occasion we are organising a special event, which we will promote in partnership with Tralee Chamber Alliance. We are launching a 3-Day Tour of Kerry, called 'The Kingdom Alliance Sportive' (to be held in June of 2013), before our annual 100Km Slí Trá Lí Leisure Tour on the 9th September next. Minister Jimmy Deenihan will hopefully be there to help with this launch.
The sign-on for Slí Trá Lí will be from 9a.m. until 10 at Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre on the morning of the 9th. The tour will take riders from Tralee to the Maharees, for the first stop, and on to Brandon Point for the second rest stop, before returning to base at the Wetlands. Refreshments will be available at the Tralee Bay Wetlands restaurant, and parking and showers at the Aqua Dome, if required. Full details for Slí Trá Lí will be posted on our website at www.traleecc.ie, or you can ring 087 6370738.
OGRAS SUMMER CAMP
ÓGRAS would to thank everyone who made the Summer Camp at Ballyheigue Community Centre and Ballyheigue GAA Pitch such a fantastic success. 20 young people including a number from Lixnaw took part and they all enjoyed a fantastic week of sport and craic. Go raibh maith agaibh go léir. Funding has been secured from Foras na Gaeilge to run an Ógras Club and this will commence in Mid-September. This will feature sports and fun activities along with a number of outings throughout the year. Breis eolais. Further details on 087 2194992.
