Knightly entertains at lecture on the Godfrey Estate

CASTLEISLAND and District Culture and Heritage Society hosted Dr John Knightly on Sunday evening. Dr. Knightly enthralled his audience for over two hours with his knowledge of the Godfrey family and their estate.

He paid particular note to the Leeson Marshalls who held certain areas around Castleisland for a time.

The society is thankful to Dr. Knightly for sharing his vast knowledge and enthusiasm of the Godfrey family with us. Also, we would like to thank the Presentation

The next talk will take place on Tuesday, December 4th at 8pm in St. Patrick's Boys' Secondary School, College Road, Castleisland. Claudia Kohler , Education

Officer at Kerry County Museum will present a lecture on their new exhibition. All are welcome to attend.
