KILFLYNN COMMUNITY GAMES
What a great weekend we had at the national athletic finals which were held in Athlone on the last weekend in August with both our athletes returning home to Kerry with pewter medals [4th place] in their pockets. This was a marvellous achievement for both Oisin Maunsell and Muireann McKenna who were competing in the u10 hurdles and marathon respectively. On a very warm Sunday morning, our marathon team which included Muireann McKenna took to the roads around Athlone to run a gruelling 7km. We were in 4th place winning pewter medals. This was a great achievement and we congratulate the girls especially our own Muireann McKenna who did us all proud.
