Open Public Meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous in Ballyduff on Wednesday 17th April @ 8.00pm in Bud's Family Resource Centre. Everyone Welcome! Light refreshments served. Come and hear 3 speakers, tell of their journey to Recovery; they will share their experience, strength and hope with you!
A Public Meeting in regard to Property Tax & Household Charges will be held at McHale's Stretford End Bar, Causeway on this Saturday April 20th from 11-1pm.
The death took place of Gerard Foley, 4 Lacca, Ballyduff. His remains were removed from his residence to SS Peter's & Paul's Church, Ballyduff. Burial was in Rahela Cemetery.
The death took place of Ellen (Bob) Guerin (nee O'Sullivan), Knopogue, Ballyduff. Her remains were removed from her son's Mike's residence in Knopogue to SS Peter's & Paul's Church, Ballyduff. Burial was in Rahela Cemetery.
Sympathy is extended to the families, relatives & friends of the above deceased.

Sliabh a'Mhadra N.S in association with McHale's Stretford End Bar, Causeway will hold a fundraising Golf Classic at Ballyheigue Castle Golf Club on Saturday June 1st. The format will be a four ball stableford with two scores to count at each hole and the entry is €120 per team of any combination.

KERRYHEAD HALF MARATHON
This year's "Half on the Head" takes place on Sunday 16th June so dust off your runners. Training for the run will take place every Sunday at 11am. Meet at the Castle Gates. All levels of runners/joggers welcome.

There was a great turn out to the Meeting on Monday 8th April. A committee was formed. There is a suggestion box at Heaphy's Centra Foodstore for any ideas relating to this. Anybody interested please come to next meeting detail of which will be advertised in this column.

Ballymacelligott Spring Clean 2013 is being organised for the weekend 27th & 28th April 2013. All bags and any other equipment supplied by KCC will be available from Ballymacelligott Post Office in advance. All rubbish collected to be brought to Ballydwyer Creamery for collection on Monday 29th. It's amazing what a difference the Spring Clean makes to your area, so go on make a difference! Bags and Hi-Vis Jackets are now in stock for collection.
Camp Community Council Election held on Sunday last had a good turnout.The following were elected to serve on the council for the next 3 years. Thomas Ashe, Brigid O Connor, Timmy Griffin, Micko Horan, Gene Finn, Séan O Moráin, Máiread Crean, Norah Crean, Marie Farrell, Martin Quirke, Michael Farrell, Michelle Farrell, Seamus Griffin, Conor Slattery and Ian Hassell. The death occurred last week at Fatima Home Tralee of Right Rev. Monsignor Michael Manning, Baile an Fheirtéaraigh. Monsignor Manning was a former parish priest of Annascaul and Milstreet and retired Vicor General of the Diocese of Kerry. Monsignor Mannning was laid to rest on Monday at Dunurlin Cemetary, Baile an Fheirtéaraigh following requiem Mass at St.Vincents Church, Baile an Fheirtéaraigh. Sympathy is extended to his brother Tom and all the family. Symathy is also extended to Jacinta Costelloe, Knockglossmore on the death of her brother Brendan O Mahony, Racecourse Road, Tralee. Brendan was a wellknown businessman in Tralee running the family Bakery in Boherbee all of his working life. He is survived by his wife Margaret, son Brendan and daughter Carol, sisters, brothers and many relatives and friends. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamnacha.
Annascaul FC are a step closer to a league final after winning the top of the table clash against Tralee Athletic at the weekend. Jason Hickson scored a great goal to give us a halftime lead. Resolute defending from our back four, especially John Bowler and man of the match Eamonn Lenihan kept Tralee at bay, until Eamonn Hickson gave us a cushion with Annascaul's second goal.

Pilgrimage to Knock
A national Pilgrimage to Knock has been organised for Saturday 20th April to celebrate the Year of faith.
Archbishop Charles Browne will be Chief Celebrant at the mass in the Basilica at 3.00pm.
Bus will leave Annascaul at 7.30am on 20th April.
Pick up at Mount Brandon Hotel Tralee at 8.15am, arriving at Knock at 12.30pm.
Cost - €30.00 approx. – depending on numbers travelling.

Kerry Hospice Foundation
The Kerry Hospice Foundation would like to thank everybody who, once again, so generously supported the Good Friday Sponsored walk and the Church gate collections over Easter.
Although the days were cold, the walkers enjoyed the event, and we thank them and all who sponsored them, and everyone who gave donations.

Causeway Mens Shed have now a Facebook Page on the Social Networking Site. The Facebook Page will regularly upload pictures and other images of the projects been carried out so everybody is welcome to log on to it. We would like to thank people for donations received and will accept Tables, Chairs, Bikes for restoration. Tools etc. which we will collect.
