HAIR today, gone tomorrow. A brave Ballymacelligott youngster lost his 10 inches of flowing, brown hair on Saturday and he was glad to do it to raise funds for the Cork Kerry Health Link Bus.
Eric O'Sullivan, son of Cathy and Pat left his hair grow for over a year - that was until last Saturday night.
O'Riadas Bar, Ballymacelligott was the makeshift 'barber shop' for the night and they hoped to raised as much as possible for the bus service that transports cancer patients to Cork for treatment.
Eric's hair will now be sent off to 'Locks of Love' in Cork where it will go to make wigs and headpieces for young people undergoing cancer treatment. It's a charity that is close to Eric's heart after his two grandfathers, Con O'Sullivan and Mickie O'Leary, both died of cancer.
Eric, who is a sixth class student at O'Brennan National School, was the only one to have his head shaved on the night but there were also brave men who got their legs waxed for the cause.
