The ICA Winter Conference is being held at the Red Cow Inn, Naas Road, Dublin on Saturday, 24th November at 10.30am. All members are invited to attend. Referendum of Children's rights All Federation President's unanimously endorsed a YES vote in the forthcoming referendum at the recent NEC meeting. Members are urged to remember to vote next Saturday.

COMPETITIONS

Mary Connolly Kenny, the competitions secretary, has planned a great variety of competitions to tempt you to enter. A newsletter has been sent to all Guilds. The Federation Cup for Craft is to make a cushion cover in any medium, for example patchwork, cross stitch, black work or crochet. Entry fee €3 per entry. Closing date - Spring Federation Meeting, which is due to be held mid February 2013. Any queries please contact Contests Secretary, Mary at 087 2607301.

Guilds should now all have received details of the National competitions also. It would be nice to see some Kerry winners! Membership cards The Treasurer reminds all members that the current plastic membership card is not replaced annually, and should be kept for good. ICA cook book This is now available from National Office at a reduced price for members of €17.99.

CHRISTMAS DINNER AND DANCE

The ICA Christmas dinner and dance has been booked for 9th December at Ballygarry House Hotel. The cost is €25, and numbers and money must be with the Treasurer, c/o Mary Connolly Kenny, by 30th November. There will be no tickets available at the door. Bowling The next bowling night will take place in Tralee on Friday, November 30th at 7.30 pm. Contact Geraldine O'Sullivan or Mary Connolly Kenny if you wish to participate.
