PLANS are falling into place nicely for the May bank holiday weekend festival here in Castleisland.

A spokesman for the adhoc committee said that there is community-wide support and a huge effort being put in by everyone concerned. There is a joint push on to make the event the most successful and broadly appealing festival for many years. There will quite literally be something for the whole family to enjoy here over that weekend. Even the tiny tots are being looked after at the local rugby club where a 'Teddy Bear's Picnic' is being arranged.

Nurses uniforms are in huge demand here but the festival committee has sourced a sizable supply to help in their world record bid and the 'nurses' will parade through the town on that Saturday, May 4 with a 'personality laden' bed-push.
