Fossa Active Retired: Active Retirement Ireland is a national organisation catering for everybody 55 years and over. We now have our own branch here in Fossa. Currently, we have a number of weekly activities which include indoor bowls, a walking group and pitch & putt. We intend to add further activities in the near future.

The Kerry G.A.A Cul Camps begin on Monday 1st July and continue for 7 weeks at 68 venues throughout the County. Ages U 8 to U 12.

*Killarney Library is currently hosting a photographic exhibition celebrating 100 years of the MacMonagle family's work. "A Century of Photography 1913-2013" is a stunning collection of photographs documenting the social, sporting and political landscape of the county. Wedding: Congratulations to Joanne Casey, Gort, Kilgarvan, daughter of Bella and the late Paudie Casey, who got married to James Herlihy, son of Tim and Nell Herlihy, Kilcummin, Killarney. The wedding ceremony took place at St. Patrick's Church, Kilgarvan. Fr Donal O'Neill officiated at the ceremony and the reception was held at Kenmare Bay Hotel.
The countdown continues for Kilgarvan Agricultural Show which takes place on Sunday August 4th. There will be a multitude of events on the day for all the family to enjoy. The festivities will begin on Friday August 2nd @ 8:00 pm with a Children's Fancy Dress Party from the Hall to the Showgrounds.
Denis Healy, Ouvane,Kilgarvan who died on July 24th at Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home, Kilcummin. Denis, beloved husband of Maura and father of only daughter Mary was one of Kilgarvan's most senior citizens. We extend our deepest sympathy to his family, son-in-law Michael McCarthy, grandchildren, sisters Bridie, Sr. Immaculate, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. After Requiem Mass in St. Patrick's Church, Kilgarvan on Saturday July 27th,Denis was buried in the local cemetery.
