THE landmark Emlagh House in Dingle has been sold and the luxurious guesthouse will be under new management from May onwards.
Emlagh House was built and established by the Kavanagh family in 2000 and gained acclaim as one of Kerry's finest guesthouses, winning a total of 27 awards in 13 years. The property, which was on the market price with an asking price of €950,000, has been sold without its contents.
One of Emlagh House's biggest attractions house was its art and antique collection and members of the public will have the chance to purchase pieces from both collections during March.
The art collection has a predominantly local theme to it featuring works by noted artists Liam O'Neill, Maria Simmons Gooding, Michael Flaherty, Tomaisin Ó Ciobhain and Patsy Farr.
The antiques collection is one of the finest examples in the county with bedrooms and public areas all furnished with fine restored pieces. These will be available to purchase during a private auction which will run over the month of March.
