THE father of Amy Winehouse, Mitch, told the media last week that he was unable to watch recordings of his daughter performing after her sudden death until he saw the recent documentary showing her perform at Other Voices in Dingle.
Mitch Winehouse was speaking as he presented a cheque of €25,000 to the LauraLynn Children's Hospice last week. He added that he didn't know the footage existed until he saw 'Amy Winehouse - The Day She Came To Dingle', which was screened on BBC last month.
"Up to that point I couldn't watch any videos of Amy, so that was the first one that I'd seen. And it was beautiful. I'm glad I saw it," he said. Amy Winehouse performed in St James on Dingle's Main Street back in 2006.
