Forbairt na Dromoda have been announced as the "Laochra Ciarraí" winners for 2017. There will be an Awards Night on March 4th in the Ballsbridge Hotel Dublin. The Kerry Association in Dublin are looking forward very much to a big crowd from Dromid at this very special event.There are still a few places left .If you are interested in attending the event please contact Cathy on 087 6852570 as soon as possible as arrangements will have to be made for travel and accommodation.

Procedures available are; Blood Pressure checks, Dressings, Supplies, General Information and any health queries you might have.

Seirbhís Déardaoin /Thursday Services. We will have our Yoga on Thursday next February 9th with lunch directly afterwards. All elderly are welcome. Ring June/Maire for any appointments.

A gathering of the King Clan will happen here in Ballinskelligs over the June Bank Holiday, from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th June 2017. Coiste Forbartha na Sceilge are assisting the Gathering in helping to identify local King Families or those who have descended from King Families. Visit from the circus

There was great excitement when Corvenieo's Circus Larena put on their show recently in the Ballinskelligs Community Hall, not only was their show fantastic but they took down all the posters they had put up advertising their visit, and also left the hall spotless.

Gaeilge do Thuismitheoirí agus Daoine Fásta. Basic Irish for adults 8 week session. An exciting opportunity to 'brush up' on your Irish in a fun and active way. We hope to have a weekly hour long session during which you will get a chance to relearn, practise and refresh your Irish while also enabling you to help your children, on Monday evening at 8.00pm in the Ballinskelligs Community Centre.

1916 Rising

Case studies of the 1916 Rising is an exhibition by the Military Archives which take place at Killarney Library from February 3 until Tuesday, Feb 28 during Library hours.

Sympathy

Sympathy is extended to the many relatives of the late Molly Breen, Killarney who died recently at the age of 103.

Also to the O'Connor family, Cooleanig and relatives on the death of their mother, Bina O'Connor last week.

Men's Shed

We welcome all who are interested in new classes now being held in Caherciveen Men's Shed.

Art Classes: Every Monday from 2pm-4pm. Cookery Classes: Commencing every Tuesday from 1pm-3pm.

Shed open daily 11am-4.30pm and new members are very welcome. Activities: Full size snooker table, 31 card games, keep fit classes every Tuesday and Friday from 10 am-11.30am. Large modern kitchen available for baking,cooking etc.We also have a large work shop and it is available to members for woodwork. Membership fee per annum is e10, now due for renewal for current members. Large bags of kindling for sale (e5) by calling to the Shed anytime during opening hours. We are located at the town side of Fexco office, please follow sign at bottom of road to reach our Shed. There is also a large sign outside the Shed to indicate the entrance. Looking forward to meeting you there when you call.
