PARENTS at the Boys' School were absolutely delighted with the response to their recent Allo's Coffee Morning in aid of the special autism class in the school.

All manner of exquisite goodies was washed down with the finest of coffee in the Church Street restaurant on Friday morning, between 10am and 12pm; including pastries and confections baked especially by the award-winning establishment.

The Parents' Council raised an incredible €1,400 through ticket sales and a number of spot prizes. In a lovely twist to the event, it was another Listowel school that won the big luxury Christmas hamper - the Nano Nagle!

"We were delighted for them and the hamper was all thanks to the fantastic generosity of Listowel businesses, who donated so much to our campaign," Parents' Council chairperson Margaret Coffey said.

"The special class is a fantastic addition to the school but requires ongoing fundraising to provide such a top-quality service and we can't thank everyone enough for their help!"
